The Bali tourism sector continued to show encouraging development throughout 2025. Based on data from the Bali Provincial BPS (Central Statistics Agency), the number of foreign tourist visits in July 2025 reached 697,107 arrivals—an increase of 9.29% compared to the previous month and a rise of 11.42% compared to the same period last year. One of the markets that stood out in this growth was Indian tourists, who have now become one of the largest contributors to visits to the Island of the Gods.

Badung Regency has become one of the favorite destinations for Indian tourists. Data up to September 2025 shows approximately 43,545 tourists from India visited the region, placing India as the country with the fastest growth after Australia and China. This surge strengthens Badung's image as a popular destination among South Asian tourists, especially for the honeymoon and premium class tourism segments.

According to the Bali BPS report, the growth in Indian tourist visits in May 2025 reached 36.93% compared to the same period the previous year, with a total of 67,995 arrivals. This increase also boosted the total foreign tourist visits to Bali to 602,213 in that month—indicating that Bali's tourism sector is increasingly recovering even before entering the peak holiday season.

Seeing the continuously increasing trend, the potential of Indian tourist visits and other international markets is expected to help Bali exceed the foreign tourist visit target until the end of 2025. Nevertheless, the regional government and tourism industry players need to maintain service quality, expand the market, and enhance the tourist experience so that this growth is not only quantitative but also sustainable and of long-term value.
