Where You Have To Go When in Nusa Penida

  • Crystal Bay Beach
Crystal Bay or Penida Beach is surrounded by two headlands and a small hill on the slopes. This beach is a favorite destination because you can diving, snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing and playing beach ball. This beach has a relatively quiet diving conditions with clear water, so it is also very good for snorkeling. Crystal bay beach is one of the few places in the world where you can see incredible mola-mola fish. The mola mola can reach a length of 3 meters and a weight of over 2,000 kg. They are usually found in deep and cold oceanic waters but occasionally they come inshore, in Bali between July and September.

  • Atuh beach
Atuh Beach is a stunning white sand beach surrounded by the huge cliffs and remarkable rock formations. An arch sits directly out from the shore while several islets string off in the distance. On this beach you can swim, snorkeling to see exotic coral reef, sunbathe or camping.

  • Peguyangan waterfall
Peguyangan waterfall is under the reef and must be reached by passing as many as 870 stairs. While at the bottom of the waterfall, there is a vast sea with large waves pounding. Around the waterfall location, there is holy water and take a little to drink.

  • Kelingking Beach (Kelingking Secret Point)
High ravine with beach in the below and no access road to go down. But in here you can see the coral cliff view from the top. This beach is located in Dusun Karang Dawa, Desa Bunga Mekar, Nusa Penida.

  • Angel’s Billabong
This tourist spot is the final estuary of a river on the island of Nusa Penida which empties first before the river water to the ocean. Here there are overdrafts that form a pool naturally, tourists can swim and relax. But this spot isn’t recommend at the time of the big wave. The location of this destination is in Banjar Sumpang, Desa Bunga Mekar, Nusa Penida

  • Seganing falls
The path is at times less than half a yard in width. On one side is the giant vertical rock wall and on your other side a tiny wooden fence protecting you from a certain death if you were to fall. The fence looked like something you would see on an old farm.

  • Broken Beach
The journey to Broken Beach is an overland adventure through Nusa Penida’s rugged limestone terrain. Most of the pathways are rocky and unpaved. The drive to Broken Beach  will likely take two hours from the main harbor area in Nusa Penida’s north-western tip. Most of the pathways are rocky and unpaved. Once you get to Broken Beach, you’ll be rewarded by a truly sweeping seascape.

  • Pura Goa Giri Putri Cave
The Pura Goa Giri Putri Cave is perched midway up mountain, accessible by a steep winding staircase. Before being allowed up the staircase we had to rent a sarong for 50 cents. We dodged a few rogue monkeys before arriving into the middle of prayer. Over 100 other people joined us down, crawling through the crack.
